You know what pisses me off? Client and their moronic projects.

They tend to overcomplicate every single thing. I know, I know, clients should have what they want, but sometimes, it's just not possible. Somethings designed in PS, the functionality of some elements just can't be created. And, they should respect that, not tell us we're unprofessional. That just makes me not wanna find a solution.

Ugh.

In other news, my aunt came by today and told me there was a guy who was interested in marrying me.

And told them not to ever mention this shit to me again.

What part of "I don't wanna get married ever" doesn't make sense? Or is it too hard to understand?

I just watched the movie Milk.

I don't quite know what I'm feeling.

I mean, I loved the movie very very much. One of Gus Van Sant's best, for sure.

I just feel angry, like all the rage I felt when Prop 8 passed is coming back.

Like Harvey said :"I'm ANGRY!"

But, like Harvey did, I have hope, hope that Prop 8 will be dumped soon (I think they vote again in 2010).

I loved this movie, and it really shook me up.

I'm watching this, and dear god, I wanna bash them in the face. Or, actually, I wanna just kill them.

I've also watched a documentary called "Nazi Pop Twins". Fucking motherfucking pieces of fucking trash!

They're... God, I don't know how to express myself about this. I just want them to fucking die, they make me so fucking angry.

Not just die, I want them to die in a very very very very fucking horrible way.

I need more pills to be able to manage sharing the world with these fucking imbeciles!

I got curious about this show, and I got the first episode to watch it. Not even 10 minutes in, I got the second, third, hell the whole season.

It's like crack! Smart, romantic, heartbreaking crack!

I kinda hate that Ned and Chuck can't just get together, that they can't touch.

This show cannot get cancelled! I'd seriously be crushed. It's too good a show!

And on to the next episode!

Work is tiring

I've been coding for the last 2 days straight almost. When I close my eyes, all I see is CSS and XHTML.

My English is suffering from writing so much in French, and it sucks. I can't seem to be able to string a couple of sentences in a row without errors. Ugh, maybe it's because I seem to have so much on my mind that it's about to explode.

I just finished one project, and I'm gonna switch to the next tomorrow, it's a pro-bono site for an animal rescue group. It's a pretty complex site, and it's gonna drain me so damn much.

I've put my own professional portfolio site on the back burner while I finish that one and any other changes they need me to make on the project I finished coding.

If I didn't have music, I'd have gone insane a very long time ago.

I was giving our turtle some lettuce leaves when I heard/felt branches moving on top of me. I looked up, and there it was... a huge grasshopper.

It was grasping on the branch above my head, aka, it almost fell on my head. It hoisted itself up on said branch, and that's when the freakout began.

i ran, patting my head and screaming, cause sometimes, I'm such a girl. It was awful. I had goose flesh for like 5 minutes, and I still feel like removing all my clothes and getting into a scalding bath to remove any grasshopper that might be latched to my shirt/skin.

God, I loathe loathe loathe grasshoppers. I can't kill them, but just the thought of them makes my skin crawl. I really hope it's just one incident, and not some sort of locust migration (which happened here a buncha years ago).

Eww.

I shall now lay under a blanket and drink sweet tea with cream (my comfort drink).

One Macaron, Two macarons... chocogasm!

Last night, I had macarons. Heavenly chocolate macarons that taste like heaven and feel like a fluffy cloud.

Since they're not cheap to buy, I'm thinking about making my own. I'm kind of afraid to try it though, because they're known to be one of the most delicate thing to make, right alongside soufflé.

But they're just SO damn yummy! If I can manage to make them, then, I rock, but I'm pretty sure I'll fuck them up somewhat.

During Ramadan, there are new soaps which air on the traditional national TV. Usually, all these soaps are the same, they don't show anything new, always sad old outdated stuff to show the world we're such an awesome and traditional country that doesn't do any non-muslim stuff.

This year though, the main soap is scandalous. It deals with sex, racism, sex out of wedlock, having a child out of wedlock, drugs, infidelity, social classes differences etc...

I love it!

I need to thank bluntsbitch for this. Oh, and the fact I watched two Anne Hathaway movies the same night.

i read this entry last night before going to bed, after having watched the Princess Diaries and Get Smart.

I love the way my subconscious kind of put everything together and made an awesome dream out of it. In said dream, I made out with Anne. A very naked Anne. We even snuggled afterwards. Naked snuggling.

It was fucking yummy.

Now, I know that I shouldn't be objectifying Anne that way. A friend of mine knows her, and they said she was a great person, and I believe this person. Anne is a classy lady.

But, thank you subconscious for the dream. Thank you so very much.

I loathe people during this dumbass ritual thing. I loathe them more than usual.

A bunch of morons are doing donuts or something, on the street right next to our house, and I've been hearing repeatedly the squeal of tires. Now, I went to bed at 5 30 am and woke up the first time at 8, the second time at 10 and finally at noon. I've gone shopping with my mom this morning in the sun, and I'm tired as fuck, and everyone is around me and just won't shut the fuck up or even try to make less noise so I can sleep.

I went to the tv room, which has an AC, and I settled down on one of the couches for a nap, but of course, that was the time for my grandma to watch her soap, which she kept recapping to me as if I had my eyes open.

So, she leaves after her TV show, and I've been laying down there for an hour, almost sleeping. Then, one of my aunts comes into the room and yells out "It's 6 PM! Still early!".

Of course, she couldn't yell it from outside, could she? Nope, she had to come into the room and then yell.

Thank you so much! Also thank for insulting me the other day you were pissed and needed an outlet for it. I love it when people I haven't talked to all day just get up and start yelling at me. And, she's not doing ramadan, yet feels like she is, because she says "oh, it's so hot today". It is hot, but you can drink. You can drink your ass off. I can't touch water.
And no, I won't go pray with you. I find that I don't relate at all to your religion, and I don't wanna be a part pf it. So stop pissing me off you fucking piece of trash.

So, here I am, sitting here in a room that feels like a sauna, with a small fan doing its best to cool me down (not working well), thirsty to fucking death and willing to kill every member of my family in a slow, horrible death.

Don't you just hate it when you just wanna be alone, but people won't go away?

A friend of my parents is at our place with her daughter. Her daughter is 17 or so, and the first day she came over, she asked me if I had msn messenger, so I told her I did, and ushered her to my pc room. I thought it was a one-time thing... The connection I have isn't good enough to be split into two, but the girl doesn't seem to understand. She's in my pc room until the dawn, sitting and chatting on msn, she smokes from my cigarette pack, she's intrusive as fuck, and all I wanna do is tell her to fuck herself very far away from me. I mean seriously, girl, stop following me, it's not cool to be a stalker!

I hope to god it's just because she doesn't know many people here, and not because I'm some sort of a rolemodel or something for her. Ugh.

And now, she removed her headphones (cause she thinks it's okay for her to use my music and headphones!) to tell me the connection doesn't work, which is something I told her earlier cause I need all of my bandwidth.

Double ugh!

I don't know if I'm being bitchy, or if it's the fact I'm doing the Ramadan, hence not eating, drinking, smoking, lusting, cursing, which are like all my daily need, which is causing me to bitch out.

I also wanna whack my brother on the head and have him be unconscious for a couple of days just so that I'd have a break.

God, i want to eat, drink, smoke, fuck, and curse.

Coming Out

I came out to my younger cousin, who's 17 years-old. She took it incredibly well.

My cousin L, her older sister, had told me a while ago that the younger cousin, E, had asked her if I liked girls. L felt it wasn't her place to tell her, so she told her I was straight. So, when E started asking questions about my secretive love life, I told her that I had heard she asked a question about it to her older sister, and told her to ask e the question again, which she did gleefully. I answered in the positive and she squealed.

She squealed.

I asked her why she had never asked me, and she said she was waiting for me either to say something, or to catch me in the act. Hehehe.

We spent a whole night chatting about it, and she was happy for me, like really happy I came out to her. She obviously doesn't have a problem with it.

She even noticed some things that no one else noticed. for instance, she asked me if I had a crush once upon a time, on one of my friends she knows, which I did, and then, she asked me if I had a thing for my best friend. And since we were being completely honest, I told her I did.

We also talked about sex and she mocked how traditional I was.

I asked her if it bothers her, and she said that as long as I was being true to myself and that I was happy, she didn't have a problem with it, and she loved me no matter what.

All in all, it was good, really good.

Dead Until Dark

I just finished reading the first Southern Vampire book, and I gotta say, I liked it way more than Twilight. I kept expecting some purple prose or something of the kind, but I haven't seen any really.

The book does have one major flaw, in my opinion... it lacks description, in a way. I don't know, maybe I'm used to reading a lot of it, but I found it missing.

But I liked it. I'll start reading the second book as soon as I have it and let you know how it goes.

I've just picked up copies of Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Series, and Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls, Drawing Bloo and Exquisite Corpse.

I hope to God these are better than the Twilight series, but I'm pretty sure they will be...

I'm wondering, my dear flist, what books would you recommend? I usually go for classics, because those never let me down, so I'm kind of lost in this sea of novels.

So, any recs would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I saw all the hype online about Twilight, so many people are raving about it that I decided to check what the fuss was all about.

Next time, I'll refrain.

I read the whole series. All four books, looking for something that will make me love it passionately.

I have failed to find it.

It's a decent way to spend some time if you're bored beyond comprehension; laughing at stale and moronic characters is always a good way to forget about time.

Reading Twilight was like reading fanficton, though, I gotta say, some of the fanfic I read was better.
